Kingsberry's original house number plaques (for both Sections 1 and 2) use 4"-tall brass numbers mounted on a wooden board which is roughly 17 3/4" long, 4 3/4" high, and 3/4" inch deep. Please note the above dimensions pertain to the size of the plaque after finishing. Stores that sell lumber normally refer to nominal sizes, so the above plaque would be described in a store as being 18" w (wide) x 5" h (high) x 1" D (deep).
The wooden plaque must be stained dark walnut and may not be painted or stained any other color. The plaque must be oriented at a 45 degree angle from left to right, as illustrated in the picture below. (There are a few exceptions to the angle requirement for those townhouses in Section 1 with recessed entries [see "Section 1" paragraph below]).
The following is the pre-approved House Number Plaque specification for all homes in Kingsberry.
The original approved wooden house number plaque is no longer available for purchase. Consequently, residents may make, or have someone make for them, a new wood address plaque out of 1", number 1-grade lumber, making sure to cut the side profiles to match the approved plaque design (see picture above).
Residents may purchase this plaque as a special order from local retailers or through on-line sources. For further information about purchasing an approved "Hartford-style" recycled cast aluminum house number plaque, please call Whitehall Products' Sales Office at 800-728-5449.
The "Hartford Standard Wall One Line" is a recycled cast aluminum house number plaque identified as Model #13220G. It has a dark bronze background coloration with gold letters. The dimensions are 16" w (wide) x 7 1/4" h (high). The plaque is designed to be easily identifiable from the street.
